Friendship Bracelets

Learning intention

This experience supports children to interact with care and empathy, and to develop persistence through a detailed task.

You'll need

• Embroidery thread or wool in several colours
• Scissors
• Tape or a safety pin to anchor the threads

How to do it

1. Children choose three or four colours and knot the threads together at one end.
2. Anchor the knot with tape so the threads stay taut.
3. Show a simple knotting pattern and let children repeat it down the length.
4. Children swap finished bracelets with a friend, building social connection.
