Build a Home for Figures

Build a Home for Figures is a free, NQF-aligned Construction & STEM activity for ages 5 to 10. It includes a learning intention, a materials list, step-by-step instructions and framework links.

Learning intention

This experience supports children to collaborate and share in play, and to use imagination to create.

You'll need

• Building bricks
• Small figures for play afterwards

How to do it

1. Children are challenged to build a house the figures can 'live' in.
2. Encourage doors, windows and rooms.
3. Children work together, sharing bricks and ideas.
4. Once built, children use the figures to play in their houses.
