Learning intention

This experience supports children to express creative ideas and to resource their learning through working with materials.

You'll need

• Air-dry clay
• Small magnets
• Paint (for once dry)
• Drying space

How to do it

1. Children shape a favourite animal or object from air-dry clay.
2. Press a small magnet into the back before the clay dries.
3. Leave to dry fully, then paint and decorate.
4. Use the finished magnets on a display board or send home.
